Luckily, the storm passed completely by (from tropical storm to tropical storm in a few hours. The back end started to hit us about 10AM and lasted for about 2 hours (I thought it would never end, 2 hours is fast, but during the time it seems like an eternity). By 1PM it was safe to go out, we were still in a tropical storm, but sustained winds were only at a maximum of 50MpH. My first real sight of damage, we lost our ficus tree.
